Saudi Aramco - Fadhili Gas Plant Expansion
Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) is undertaking the construction of a gas processing plant in eastern Saudi Arabia.
The project will expand the output potential of the Fadhili gas plant by 1.3 billion cf/d of sour non-associated offshore gas which will produce 900 billion cf/d of sales gas as well as 2,000 tonnes a day of sulphur.
The project is expected to increase the Fadhili gas plantâs processing capacity from 2.5 billion cubic feet a day (cf/d) to up to 4 billion cf/d.
The US$10150 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of raw gas inlet and processing facilities
2. Construction of natural gas liquids (NGL) fractional unit
3. Construction of gas oil separation unit
4. Construction of sour water stripper unit
5. Construction of mono ethylene glycerol regeneration unit
6. Construction of new feed inlet area
7. Construction of triethylene glycerol dehydration unit
8. Construction of sulphur recovery unit
9. Construction of dedicated co-generation power plant
10. Construction of a residential camp
11. Construction of industrial support facilities
12. Construction of related facilities
13. Laying of Fadhili downstream pipelines
