Trans Israel is undertaking the construction of a light rail line from Haifa to Nazareth in Israel.

The project involves the construction of a 41km light rail line from Lev HaMifratz Railway Station in Haifa to Ma'aleh Yitzhak Street in Nazareth Illit in Israel.

The US$1200 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of 29km of the inter-city line

2. Construction of interchanges

3. Construction of inter-urban-sections

4. Construction of 20 stations

5. Construction of bridges

6. Construction of tunnels

7. Construction of 30 railway carriages and power plants

8. Construction of 16 Park and ride parking lots

9. Construction of a depot complex

10. Construction of a control center

11. Installation of safety systems

12. Installation of signaling systems

13. Construction of related infrastructure facilities

The project is facing delay due to a political change in the Israeli government and the Ministry of Transportation is planning to reconsider the project feasibility due to a large deviation in the project cost.
