KSIADC - King Salman International Airport in Riyadh
King Salman International Airport Development Company is planning to undertake the development of King Salman International Airport on an area of approximately 57 km2 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Airport is expected to be one of the worldâs largest airports and will be powered by renewable energy. The airport aims to accommodate up to 120 million passengers by 2030 and 185 million passengers, with the capacity to process 3.5 million tons of cargo by 2050.
This project is one of the initiatives included in the Saudi Giga Projects plan.
The US$30,000 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of six parallel runways
2. Construction of 12km2 of airport support facilities
3. Construction of terminals
4. Construction of apron
5. Construction of taxiway
6. Construction of OTC tower
7. Construction of 12km2 of airport support facilities
8. Construction of residential & recreational facilities
9. Construction of retail outlets
10. Construction of logistics real estate
11. Associated facilities

Al Bawani, Mofarreh Alharbi & Partners Company & MBL are invited to submit the response. Foster + Partners has been appointed to design the master plan and Jacobs will provide consultancy services for the detailed masterplan and Mace International will be the delivery partner and Nera will oversee the airspace design for the project. The main contract tenders were issued and the bid submission was on May 12, 2024 for the Residential Package: ERF & SOC. The JV of Alfanar and Expertise Contracting amongst others have submitted the bids. It is also understood that the following companies were invited to bid - Red Sea International Company, Tamimi Group, Saudi Company for Prefabricated Buildings & Spacemaker amongst others.
