RCRC - Riyadh Metro: Line 7
The Royal Commission of Riyadh City (RCRC) is planning to undertake the construction of Line 7 with a maximum speed of 120 km per hour as part of the Metro network project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Line 7 will link Qiddiya entertainment city development, King Abdullah International Gardens, King Salman Park, Misk City and Diriyah Gate. The total length is around 65 kilometres (km), of which 47km is underground, and 19km is elevated, with 19 stations, of which 14 stations are underground, and five stations are overground.
The US$8000 million includes the following:
1. Construction of a 65-kilometre metro line (linking Qiddiya Entertainment City, King Salman Park, and Diriyah Gate)
i. Construction of 47km is the underground
ii. Construction of a 19-kilometre overground
2. Construction of 19 railway stations (with provision for 2 extra stations)
i. Construction of 14 underground stations
ii. Construction of 5 overground stations
3. Infrastructure works
4. Installation of track lines
5. Installation of the signalling systems
6. Civil works
7. Construction of maintenance depot at Diriyah North
8. Construction of associated facilities
