Saudi Power Procurement Company is undertaking the construction of Al Nairyah IPP 1 1,800 MW Gas Fired Power Plant in Al-Nairiyah, Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

The US$2000 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of 1800 MW power plant

2. Construction of a powerhouse

3. Construction of access roads

4. Installation of gas turbines

5. Installation of heat recovery steam generators

6. Installation of gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) substation

7. Installation of control system

8. Installation of transformers

9. Installation of the air-compression system

10.Construction of related facilities

The power purchase agreement has been signed and JV of SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Corp and Doosan Enerbility has been appointed as the main contractors for the project. Mitsubishi Corporation has been appointed as the gas turbine supply contractor. (Source: MEED)
