QatarEnergy LNG - North Field Production Sustainability: Phase 2: COMP4
Qatargas is planning the development of gas compression systems as a part of the North Field Production Sustainability project in Qatar.
The objective of the combined 4A and 4B package project is also known as COMP4.
The two large gas compression systems that will be known as CP8S and CP4N, each weighing 25,000-35,000 tones.
The US$4000 million project includes the following:
1. Installation of two large gas compression complexes
2. Installation of compression platform (Nos. 2)
3. Installation of flare platform (Nos. 2)
4. Construction of interconnected bridge
5. Construction of living quarters facility
6. Construction of associated facilities

The following companies have submitted the EOI documents: Hyundai Heavy Industries, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, Saipem, McDermott International and Larsen & Toubro. The main contract tender is expected to be issued to the shortlisted companies by the first quarter of 2023.
