Saudi Arabian NEOM is planning to undertake the construction of two railway tunnels in parallel, one for passengers and the other for goods using drill and blast method (lot 4 & lot 5) for the Line as part of NEOM City, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

The US$2000 million project includes the following:

East package scope of works:

1. Excavation of running tunnels (twin tunnels - 31km each, depth : 20-520m) (drill & blast)

2. Excavation of all cross passages, niches, sumps, equipment, technical rooms etc

3. Transportation of arisings to stockpile area

4. Installation of all necessary ground support measures

5. Installation of headwall/interface structure at two portal locations

6. Temporary tunnel systems, incl. security, ventilation, signage, lighting, power, water, compressed air, communications, fire fighting & air monitoring.

7. Tunnel drainage systems.

8. Sheet membrane waterproofing systems

9. All concrete works for the permanent tunnel structure incl. tunnel lining, invert slabs, tunnel dividing walls, sumps, cross passages, niches, equipment, and technical rooms etc.
