Saudi Water Partnership Co is planning to install a water transmission pipeline from Jubail to Buraydah in Saudi Arabia.

The project will have the ability of reverse flow from Al-Shamasiyah, passing through Al-Qulayib, to Al-Jubail

The US$2266 million project includes the following:

1. Laying of a 587km water transmission pipeline from regulating tanks in Jubail to the new highpoint reservoir at Buraydah (with a capacity of 650,000 m3/Day)

2. Construction of pumping station in Jubail and Al Qulayyib

3. Construction of reverse flow pumping station at Buraydah

4. Construction of 6 storage tanks at Al-Shamasiyah and 3 strategic storage tanks at Al-Jubail with the capacity of 1,634,500 m3/Day

5. Laying of steel pipes with internal cement mortar lining.

6. Civil works

7. Installation of meter connections

8. Construction of associated facilities

The JV of Buhur for Investment Co, Nesma & Partners & Al Jomaih Energy and Water Co has been appointed as the developer for the project and the official agreement has been signed.

The JV of Buhur for Investment Co, Nesma & Partners & Al Jomaih Energy and Water Co is the preferred bidder with a levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) of 3.59468 sar/m3 and the JV of Vision Invest & Abu Dhabi National Energy Company as reserve bidder with a levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) of 5.04214 sar/m3.
