SWPC - Rabigh 4: IWP
Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) is undertaking the construction of the desalination plant which will be located in Rabigh, Mecca Province, Saudi Arabia.
The project is a consortium of ACWA Power owned 45%, Haji Ali Reza (HAACO) 35% and Al Moayyed 20%.
This plant will meet the needs of northern Jeddah, Mecca, and Taif.
The concession period is for 25 years.
The US$677 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of 600,000 m3/ day SWRO desalination plant
2. Construction of PWSF tank 1,200,000 m3
3. Construction of storage tanks
4. Installation of pressure ex-changers
5. Installation of membranes
6. Installation of PV capacity of 6.804 MWp
