SHAEMS - 22 GW Renewable Energy Program: 2000 MW Phase 2
Societe Algerienne des Energies Renouvelables Spa (SHAEMS) a subsidiary of Sonelgaz and Sonatrach is undertaking the construction of 2000 MW photovoltaic solar power plants as a part of the Renewable Energy Program in Algeria.
The solar projects will be built in 11 locations across the North African state.
The current profile includes the Phase II of the Renewable Energy Program.

i. Construction of Lot 9 solar power plant at Douar El maa (200MW)
j. Construction of Lot 10 solar power plant at Taleb Larbi El Oued province (80MW)
k. Construction of Lot 11 solar power plant at Touggourt (150MW)
l. Construction of Lot 12 solar power plant at Tendla (200MW)
m. Construction of Lot 13 solar power plant at Leghrous Biskra province (200MW)

2. Construction of solar power towers consisting of central receivers and heliostats

Lot 1, Lot 3, Lot 6, Lot 9, and Lot 15 were awarded to the consortium of China Electricity and Water Company, Chinese Nuclear Industries Corporation, and Yellow River Company for Consulting Engineering (CWE/HXCC/YREC) for US$53 million, US$133 million, US$120 million, US$122 million, and US$54 million respectively, Lot 2 and Lot 11 awarded to the consortium of Cosider and FIMER SpA Company for US$88 million and US$107 million respectively, Lot 4 and Lot 10 awarded to Eurl Hamdi Company for US$59 million each, Lot 5 awarded to Shanxi Construction Engineering Group for US$57 million, Lot 7 awarded to a consortium of Ozgun Insaat and Zergoun Green Energy for US$71 million, Lot 12 awarded to China State Construction Engineering for US$117 million, Lot 13 awarded to a consortium of Power China and Sinohydro for US$132 million and Lot 14 was secured by Power China for US$95 million.
