Sonatrach - Skikda Refinery Expansion
Sonatrach is planning to undertake the expansion of Skikda Refinery in Algeria.
The US$8185 million project includes the following:
Package 1:
1. Construction of Hydrocracking Unit
2. Construction of Hydrocracking Unit (4.5miilion tonnes/ year)
3. Construction of Associated facilities
Package 2:
1. Construction of Naphtha reforming unit
2. Construction of a laboratory
3. Construction of a processing unit
4. Construction of a degassing bin unit
5. Construction of a production unit
6. Construction of a purification unit
7. Construction of a recycling unit
8. Development of administrative space and civil works
9. Installation of vacuum chambers and related machinery
10. Construction of other associated facilities
Package 3:
1. Construction of 24,100 BPD Deasphalting units
2. Construction of Penex isomerization
3. Construction of CCR Platforming
Fuel Conversion Unit & Associated Installations at RA1K :
1. Construction of fuel oil hydrocracking train (HCU) for a total load of 2.3 million tons per year
2. Construction of a Vacuum distillation unit
3. Construction of a Hydrocracking unit
4. Construction of a Solvent Deasphalting Unit
5. Construction of a hydrogen production unit
6. Construction of a Sulfur recovery unit
7. Construction of an AMINE regeneration unit
8. Construction of Acid water softening unit
9. Construction of Hot water/steam production unit
10. Construction of Raw water supply system, demineralized water, drinking water, cooling water and water for utilities
11. Construction of Vapor and condensate management system
12. Construction of Water treatment unit and fire-fighting system
13. Construction of associated facilities
