Qatar's General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) is planning to undertake the development of “Facility E” through Independent Power and Water Producers in the Madinat ash Shamal region, Qatar.

The US$3,000 million project includes the following:

Following are the companies among others who have submitted the documents on the project: Electricite de France (EDF), Sumitomo Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation and Marubeni Corporation. It is understood that the following companies might have also submitted the PQ documents, however, the official confirmation or the same is still awaiting: Mitsui & Co., JERA, Korea Electric Power Corporation, Sojitz Corporation, Engie.
