Saudi Arabia Ministry of Sport is planning to undertake the expansion and refurbishment of King Fahd Sports City Stadium located in the residential district of Al Maizilah in northeast of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The stadium will be a venue for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 and will be used for the FIFA World Cup 2034.

The stadium is one of the key venues for the FIFA World Cup 2034.

The US$1500 million project includes the following:

1. Expansion of a stadium (increasing from the current 58,398 seats to 70,172 seats)

- Net capacity 60,000 Seats

- VIP seats (1,508 nos.)

- Access seats (562 nos.)

- GA (66,173 nos.)

- Suites tier seats (1,394 nos.)

- Media seats (122 nos.)

2. Construction of pedestrian ramps

3. Construction of five-sided football pitches

4. Construction of training field

5. landscape works

6. Renovation of the stadium

Juli Rigging has been appointed as the sub contractor to carry out the design and production of cables and cable nodes in the stadium roof cable network structure with an approximate contract value of SAR 59.22 million (US$ 15.7 million) for a duration of 12 months. Jinggong Steel International Company has been appointed to construct the steel framework for the project.
