JEC - Jeddah Economic City: Jeddah Tower
Jeddah Economic Company (JEC) is undertaking the construction of a mixed-use tower, named as Jeddah Tower, previously known as Kingdom Tower located in the northern part of Obhur in Saudi Arabia.
This project is one of the skyscraper projects in the MENA region.
The US$2000 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of a 1,000m tall, 170-story tower
2. Construction of 318 apartments
3. Construction of offices
4. Construction of hotel with 182 rooms
5. Construction of a hospital
6. Construction of commercial shops
7. Construction of shopping area
8. Construction of parking facilities
9. Landscaping works
10. Construction of associated facilities

The following companies have been invited to bid by the end of the year 2023 *Almabani, *Bawani, *China Harbour, *China State Construction Engineering Corporation, *Consolidated Contractors Company, *El-Seif Engineering Contracting, *Hyundai Engineering Construction, *Mohammed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons, *Nesma & Partners, *Samsung C&T, *Freyssinet, *Skanska, *Strabag. The companies are expected to form JV's comprising local and international partners. It is also understood that contractors have visited the site. Saudi Binladin Group (SBG) is no longer involved as the main contractor. Previously Saudi Oger, Multiplex, El Seif Engineering Contracting, Saudi Binladin Group and BESIX had submitted the bids on the project and the project was on hold due to technical issues.
