Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) is undertaking the expansion of Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai South in Dubai, the UAE.

Al Maktoum International Airport is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The airport was opened in 2010 and is part of a larger project called Dubai World Central, which is designed to be a major logistics and transport hub for the region. In 2013, the government of Dubai announced plans to expand Al Maktoum International Airport to become the primary airport for Dubai, taking over from Dubai International Airport.

The project covers an area of 70 square kilometres in the south of Dubai. Once complete, the airport will have five parallel runways and five terminal buildings with a total of 400 aircraft gates. It will be five times the size of the existing Dubai International airport, and it will have the world’s largest passenger handling capacity of 260 million passengers a year. For cargo, it will have the capacity to handle 12 million tonnes a year.

The US$35,000 million project includes the following:
