Saudi Arabia Construction Projects Snapshot – October 2025
Saudi Arabia Historical Construction Contracts
As of Q3 2025, Saudi Arabia awarded construction contracts worth $15.1 billion. The total for 2025 is expected to be lower than the record $36.7 billion in 2024. That year marked the highest value since 2015. The decline reflects slower spending on major GIGA projects.
Since 2015, the residential sector has led with $75.7 billion in construction contracts. Hospitality follows with $24 billion, and leisure with $21.1 billion.

The construction sector represents 62% of all projects planned or underway in Saudi Arabia. Mixed-use projects hold the largest share at 59% ($498.7 billion). Residential projects follow with $120.4 billion. Around 85% of projects are still in the design stage. About 7% are in the study phase, and 8% are in tendering.
