QatarEnergy LNG - North Field East Development: Onshore
Qatargas is undertaking the construction of onshore facilities at the North Field East Development previously known as the "North Field Expansion project (NFE)" in Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC), Qatar.
Qatargas is planning three new LNG trains under the capacity expansion plan rather than the two new trains and debottlenecking of existing trains, that was originally been considered. It will produce approximately 3,000 tons/day of ethane as feedstock for petrochemical development in the State of Qatar, 8,500 tons/day of LPG for sale into world markets, and 185,000 barrels/day of condensate in addition to approximately 12 tons per day of pure helium.
Qatar Petroleum on 26 September 2018, announced adding a fourth liquefaction train to raise capacity from the North Field to 110 million tons per annum (MTPA). The output from the field will rise from 77 million tons a year now.
With the addition of the fourth train, the new project will produce about 32 MTPA of LNG, 4,000 tons/day of ethane, 260,000 barrels/day of condensate, and 11,000 tons/day of LPG, in addition to approximately 20 tons per day of pure helium.
When the project is completed, Qatarâs LNG production capacity will reach 110 MTPA, representing an increase of around 43 percent from its current production capacity of 77 MTPA.
The project is being executed in three packages named EPC-1, 2 & 3.
The US$19,345 million project includes the following:

5. Construction of tank boil-off gas and jetty boil-off gas recovery facilities

1. Laying of LNG and condensate rundown pipelines
