Marafiq has undertaken the construction of a desalination plant in the Eastern Province in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

The US$400 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of seawater reverse osmosis plant (570,000 m3/day)

2. Construction of 60MWp capacity solar facility

3. Construction of 380kV Electrical Special Facilities with 59 km Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL)

4. Construction of one-day water storage capacity

5. Construction of seawater intake system

6. Installation of pumps

7. Installation of pressure exchangers

8. Installation of membranes

9. Construction of associated facilities
