Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (ADNOC) is undertaking the construction of offshore pipelines and platforms at Hail and Ghasha Sour gas development in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.

The current profile covers the offshore pipeline and platform.

The US$10,250 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of an artificial island drill center in Ghasha Field (Nos. 6)

2. Construction of an artificial island drill center in Hail Field (Nos. 2)

3. Expansion of an artificial island drill center in Hail Field (No. 1)

3. Laying of 400km infield subsea pipelines

4. Laying of 212 subsea cables

5. Installation of platforms for compression facilities

6. Construction of central living quarters

7. Construction of sea water intake facility

8. Installation of Offshore Compression and Injection Wellhead Platforms in Ghasha field

9. Construction of associated facilities

There is no formal agreement or contract signed with any contractor. The project EPC contract is likely to be awarded in June 2023 and currently the feed work is ongoing on the project.

The tender for Feed works has been re-issued and the technical bid submission date for the revised feed tender is due on September 23, 2021. FEED optimization is being carried out by KBR and the client company, ADNOC has asked all the previous main contract bidders to extend the bid validity for one year.

ADNOC is in the process of re-designing the project for FEED optimization with revised scope. Once the final designs are drafted and approved by ADNOC, the tender process would be either continued or re-initiate. Currently, it is unknown that the client will reissue the tender or request the the existing tender participant companies to resubmit new bids with respect to the revised scope at this moment
